Disable Messaging Feature for an Individual Patient

We are happy to share that Providers will now be able to disable the messaging feature for an individual patient, instead of disabling the messaging feature entirely.

This article will guide you on our most-requested feature: how to disable the messaging feature for an individual patient.

See below video tutorial on how to disable messaging feature for an individual patient

Step-by-Step Guide:

1.) Log in to the PT Wired portal as a provider.

2.) Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the “Patients” page. From here, you can either select a patient from your list, or search for a specific patient by name or email by making use of the search bar to the left of the page. Click the patient card to navigate to the patient’s profile.

3.) Once in the patient’s profile, navigate to the far right of the page and click the three dots. A dropdown menu will be displayed - click the “Disable Messaging” button.

4.) A “Disable Messaging?” pop-up will appear advising that the ability for the patient to communicate with their assigned providers will be removed. Click the red “Disable” button to remove this feature for the patient.

Note: The messaging feature can be enabled again at any time.

5.) A "Success! Messaging has been disabled successfully" prompt will appear on the top right of the screen to indicate the messaging feature has been successfully disabled.

6.) To enable the messaging feature, navigate to the three dots and click the “Enable Messaging” button.

An “Enable Messaging” pop-up will appear. Click “Enable” to restore the patient’s ability to communicate with their assigned providers.

Note: The messaging feature can be disabled again at any time.

7.) A “Success! Messaging has been enabled successfully” prompt will appear on the top right of the screen to indicate that the messaging feature has been successfully enabled.
