Apple Developer Enrollment: Create your Apple ID & Two-Factor Authentication


Creating an Apple ID

1.) Click here to go to the Apple Developer sign in page. Select "Create yours now" to create a new Apple ID.

2.) Fill in your account information and click the blue “Continue” button.

3.) Enter the code sent to the email address above and click "Continue."

4.) Read through and agree to the Apple Developer Agreement by checking the fist box. You can choose to opt in to receive emails related to the latest news and recommendations for Apple developers. Once selected, click "Submit."

5.) Your new Apple ID has been created and you'll be directed to the following page:

Two-Factor Authentication

To proceed with your enrollment, you'll need to set up Two-Factor Authentication for your Apple ID.

You can enable Two-Factor Authentication on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch by following these steps:


1.) Enable Two-Factor Authentication in Settings

If you're using iOS 10.3 or later:

1. Go to Settings > [your name] > Password & Security.

2. Tap Turn On Two-Factor Authentication.

3. Tap Continue.


If you're using iOS 10.2 or earlier:

1. Go to Settings > iCloud.

2. Tap your Apple ID > Password & Security.

3. Tap Turn On Two-Factor Authentication.

4. Tap Continue.


You may be prompted to answer your Apple ID security questions.


2.) Enter and verify your trusted phone number

When signing in, enter the phone number you'd like to use to receive verification codes. You have the option of receiving the codes via text message or automated phone call.


When you tap the "Next" button, Apple will send a verification code to the phone number you provided. To validate your phone number and enable Two-Factor Authentication, enter the verification code.


If you'd rather use a Mac to set up Two-Factor Authentication, follow these steps on any Mac running OS X El Capitan or later:

1. Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud > Account Details.

2. Click Security.

3. Click Turn On Two-Factor Authentication.


Some Apple IDs created on iOS 10.3 or macOS 10.12.4 and later are automatically protected with two-factor authentication. You can see that two-factor authentication is already enabled in this situation.
