Apple Developer Enrollment: How to get a D-U-N-S® Number using Apple's D-U-N-S Number Look-up tool

To enroll as a Company/Organization, one of the enrollment requirements is a D-U-N-S Number. Dun & Bradstreet assigns these unique nine-digit numbers, which are widely used as standard business identities.

1.) D&B may already have assigned your company a free D-U-N-S Number. Before registering, use the Apple D-U-N-S Number look up tool to see if you have one. If your business isn't mentioned, you can submit your information to Dun & Bradstreet for a free D-U-N-S Number.

2.) It's easy to use the Apple D-U-N-S Look-up Tool. You'll be asked to provide the following information:

  • Legal entity name
  • Legal Practice Address
  • Work Mailing Address & Contact information

Fill out the form, enter the characters on the Captcha and click "Continue" once done.

On the next page you'll need to fill in the relevant information to Update your D&B profile, then click "Submit." It may take up to 5 business days to complete this process.

Once the process is complete you'll receive an email with your new DUNS number. From here, you'll be able to proceed with the Apple Developer Enrollment.

Note:

If it's been more than 5 business days and you haven't received any update from Apple, you might need to reach out to the Apple Developer Program support team. Inform them of the issue regarding your DUNS Number not matching up with Apple's database, and that you've requested an update.

To do this, follow this link and sign in using the company Apple ID. Select: Membership Account > D-U-N-S Number > Phone > Enter Your Contact # > then click the "Call Me" button. You can follow up with them about your D&B profile update so that you can obtain your DUNS number faster and proceed with your enrollment.
