Messaging Patients

Patient-provider communication is essential for developing strong client connections! The HIPAA-compliant messaging system allows you to communicate with your RTM-enrolled patients and receive messages from them via the patient web app.

Below is a video tutorial on how to message patients

Messaging patients via the main Messages tab

1.) Log in to the system as an Admin or Therapist. Click the "Messages" tab on the far right of the dashboard at the top of the page to access the messaging feature.

2.) You will then be directed to the "Messages" board.

3.) Start messaging your patients by clicking on the blue and white "+" sign. This creates a new conversation and adds a patient to the messaging system.

4.) After clicking the plus sign, it will pull up an "Add Conversation" list, with patients that have already been added to the system.

  • Search patients by name or email address in the search bar, symbolized by a magnifying glass.

  • You need not worry about missing unread messages. You will receive an email to notify you, in addition to receiving a push notification if this has been enabled (refer to Step 3.)
  • The option is available for therapists to download their own clinic app and message their patients from there, if preferred.
  • Providers can click the 'Refresh Conversation List' option to get their latest conversations with patients.
