RTM Status Sync Between Prompt and Engage
This article explains how RTM (Remote Therapeutic Monitoring) status is synced between Prompt EMR and Prompt Engage.
How RTM Status Works
Previously, Engage automatically followed the RTM status set in Prompt.
Now, Engage will no longer automatically follow RTM deactivations from Prompt.
This change prevents unintended loss of RTM data and billing access in Engage.
For Patients with One Case in (Prompt)
- If RTM is Active in Prompt → RTM is ON in Engage
- If RTM is later disabled in Prompt → RTM will remain ON in Engage
👉🏼 Users must manually disable RTM in Engage if needed. See example HERE
For Patients with Multiple Cases (Prompt)
- If any case has RTM Active → RTM is ON in Engage
- If all cases have RTM Inactive → RTM will remain ON in Engage (if it was previously active)
👉🏼 Engage will no longer turn RTM OFF automatically, even if all cases in Prompt are inactive. See example HERE
👉🏼 Manual action in Engage is required to disable RTM.
Discharged Cases (Prompt)
On the Prompt side, when a case is discharged, the RTM status is automatically set to inactive.
This may result in RTM appearing disabled in Prompt across all cases.
However:
- Engage will ignore these RTM deactivations. See example HERE
- RTM in Engage will remain active unless manually turned off
Example
- A patient has RTM active in Prompt → RTM is ON in Engage ✅
- The case is later discharged in Prompt, which sets RTM to inactive
- Before: Engage would also turn RTM OFF ❌
- Now: Engage keeps RTM ON ✅
If RTM should no longer be tracked or billed, users will need to disable it directly in Engage.
